Overview
Recorded on the same day as the Gimbal video (January 21, 2015) by a Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet, the GoFast video shows a small whitish object travelling close to the ocean surface. The ATFLIR pod's tracking system struggled to maintain a lock and pilot commentary includes excited remarks about the object's speed. Subsequent analysis from researchers including Mick West concluded that apparent velocity was largely a parallax illusion, while Navy intelligence personnel testified that the underlying sensor data still represented a non-attributable contact. The footage was declassified alongside FLIR1 and Gimbal in 2020.
